Moncler flagship in Singapore
In the center Singapore, in the famous shopping and entertainment complex The Shoppes, at the resort near the hotel and casino Marina Bay Sands, the flagship Moncler has opened.
The famous brand ordered the design concept of its store to the designer To Gwenael Nicolas. The designer, although French, has been working at for a long timeTokyo, where he has his own bureau, and copes well with orders for many well-known labels.
Boutique Moncler is located on two floors and occupies an area of 520 square meters.
This is the largest brand store in the entire Asia-Pacific region. The designer's job was to focus the buyer's attention not so much on the decoration of the boutique, but on each exposed model.
Gwenael chose as the basis of the composition a black floor, gray walls and functional lighting, almost like in a museum. Surrounded by gray "passepartout" made of marble slabs, like paintings at an exhibition, jackets and overalls, jumpers and hoodies look especially expressive. Some of the items, like jewels, lie in showcases with glass and dark wood frames, some are displayed in glass cubes, as befits museum masterpieces.
A special highlight is the lower panels of marble tiles, which are overlaid with podiums and stands. They remind of the landscapes of ski resorts, where it's so nice to ride down the slope in beautiful clothes from Moncler.
The monogram of the House adorns both the facade and the center of the boutique and looks advantageous on a black background. Small islands with fragments of collections have been transformed into peculiar cubes of light and, thanks to the bright focused light, light finishes and fittings, they stand out as light squares in an almost black room.
