Euro Shoes Premiere Collection – return to the good times

On August 23–26, the International Exhibition of shoes, bags and accessories Euro Shoes Premiere Collection, one of the main business platforms of the Russian market, took place in the capital's Sokolniki Exhibition Center. According to the feedback from participants and visitors, the overall mood is very positive, and, apparently, the event is returning to pre-crisis volumes.

Companies from Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, Finland, Austria, Turkey, Belarus came to the event. Among the old-timers are Rieker, Tamaris, ARA, Caprice, Högl, Jana, S’Oliver, Marc, Josef Seibel, Semler, Marco Tozzi, Ermak. Russian brands (more than a third of the participants) occupied a worthy place in the exhibition space of the pavilions, among them "Spartak", "Shoe Snab", Glamour, El Rosso, Valey.

At more than 100 stands, 500 shoe brands presented their spring-summer 2017 collections, including new companies that had not previously participated in Euro Shoes, 5700 professional visitors visited the exhibition in order to buy shoes wholesale.

According to the organizers, 10% more visitors came to the summer session than in February, which is very rare for summer exhibitions, since summer events are traditionally always smaller both in area and in attendance. Nevertheless, the August Euro Shoes became a pleasant exception to the rule.

Firstly, new companies at the exhibition announced before the end of the event that they plan to participate in the winter session, which will be held on February 27, March 2, 2017, and many of them have already confirmed their participation with an increase in space. These are Spartak, Exitalia, HCS, 24 HRS, Collonil, Freude, Sonja Ricci, Garda, Via Lietto. Secondly, the direction of non-standard development is gradually beginning to develop: the beautiful snow-white stand of Jana Shoes – Be Natural – is the best confirmation of this. And, looking at the German brand, many exhibitors seriously thought about the construction of similar stands. Thirdly, the organizers had new valuable contacts of potential participants who, having visited the exhibition in the first days, were immediately ready to write an application for participation in February. Thus, it can be stated with confidence: the exhibition is gradually returning to pre-crisis volumes.

The exposition presented not only collections of shoes that can be bought in bulk, but also related products: bags, belts, purses and other leather goods, umbrellas, scarves and stoles, cosmetics and shoe care products, insoles, hosiery. The brands Marco Bianchini, BNS, Collonil, Richezza, Imperator, Helena Loy, Mahaon, Gold Fish demonstrated their products.

The business program includes seminars and trainings from the best experts of the shoe market - Fashion Consulting Group, VM-Consulting and other companies on marketing, buying, merchandising, window dressing, sales and e-commerce, work with personnel. All two days the conference hall was packed to capacity (there were no empty seats, and many stood in the aisles). Some seminars turned into interactive discussions, where buyers asked the speakers questions on topical topics of concern to them about how to survive a retail shoe store in a crisis, how to optimize costs, form an anti-crisis assortment and buy shoes wholesale.

Euro Shoes Premiere Collection is the earliest shoe exhibition in Russia. This makes it possible for manufacturing companies to demonstrate collections at the very beginning of the season, receive customer feedback and ensure timely delivery of collections to their customers' stores, and for buyers to form their assortment more efficiently.
