There are only a few hours left before the end of voting in the XIX International Competition of Young Designers "Generation NEXT". The competition is held within the framework of the largest exhibition of the light and textile industry of the Northwest region "Fashion Industry". To voting presented 27 works of finalists in the direction of "COSTUME", 50 works of finalists in the direction of "TEXTILES" and 52 works of finalists in the direction of "GRAPHIC DESIGN".

Voting will end today, October 8. Anyone can vote. The winners will receive special prizes from the project based on the results of the voting ModaNews.ru (JSC "CONLIGA MEDIA"), Solstudio Textile Design and PANTONE® (GRAFITEK company). The awarding of the winners of the competition will take place within the framework of the exhibition "Fashion Industry" on October 11, 2018.

Moscow design studio Solstudio Textile Design joined the project in the spring of 2017 and offered the winners an internship as a reward. As part of the cooperation Solstudio Textile Design ModaNews and the Generation NEXT competition, Adriana Vishnyakova from Vitebsk and Anastasia Ivanova from St. Petersburg have already been engaged in the company, the third winner will be determined on October 11 this year.

GRAFITEK company (official representative of PANTONE® in Russia) joined the project even earlier – in the fall of 2016. GRAFITEK provided the winning designers in the direction of "TEXTILES" with its PANTONE® Cotton Passport handbook of textile colors on cotton. The finalist of the current competition "Generation NEXT" will be awarded the Textile directory FASHION, HOME + INTERIORS Cotton Passport. This prize is all the more relevant because recently more and more companies have been using printed fabrics in their work.

The MEDIA LEAGUE has been cooperating with the Fashion Industry exhibition since 2002, and the support of the NEXT Generation competition has become an integral part of this cooperation. Every year, the publishing house not only provides a platform for voting, but also gives the winners special prizes, including specialized literature and certificates for the publication of interviews on the ModaNews portal.

The International Exhibition of Light and Textile Industry «Fashion Industry» – is one of the most significant events for representatives of the fashion business of the North-West of the Russian Federation and the only industry exhibition in the region. The exhibition will be held at the new venue in the EXPOFORUM Exhibition Center (St. Petersburg, Peterburgskoe sh., 64/1) from October 10 to 13, 2018. About 300 manufacturers of light and textile industries from Russia and other countries will take part in the exhibition. Every year, over 10,000 fashion industry specialists visit the exposition and business events of the Fashion Industry.

The competition of young designers "Generation NEXT" is included in the Program of promotion of young professionals, conducted by the Exhibition Association "FAREXPO". The purpose of the Program is to create a platform for professional contacts and cooperation between young designers, manufacturers and buyers in the workspace of the International Exhibition "Fashion Industry". The open Competition of young designers is held at the International Exhibition of Light and Textile Industry "Fashion Industry" twice a year in March (Spring session) and October (Autumn session).
