The fight against counterfeiting will be with the help of blockchain
On October 22, within the framework of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, a meeting of the working group FashionNet of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) was held, during which the chairman of the Russian Chamber of Fashion,Alexander Shumsky, said that blockchain technology will be used to combat counterfeiting in the Russian fashion industry market.
"There are no unique fashion technologies. It is necessary to use technological developments that can be modified for the fashion industry. For example, promising developments using blockchain technology in the field of countering counterfeiting, the problem of which is acute in Russia, including in the trade in clothing and accessories. One of the projects is being worked out by Kaspersky Lab, the other by a company associated with a well-known crypto fund. This is an example of the involvement in the processes of FashionNet of major players from related fields, – reported Alexander Shumsky.
The concept of FashionNet is based on global trends related to the transformation of the fashion industry, including a change in the consumption model, digitalization of the economy, automation of production processes, deformation of the supply chain, new logistics solutions, an increase in the share of sales online and much more other.
According to the concept of market development FashionNet, a decentralized network of digital factories will be created in Russia. Such factories are planned to be organized on the basis of existing production facilities. The Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Entrepreneurship and the Consumer Market of St. Petersburg declared his readiness to join this work,Elgiz Kachaev, and Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region,Harry Goldman. For the development of factories of the future in the Ivanovo region, they plan to use the current production facilities.
