Across the sea, a half–calf, and a ruble – transportation
According to the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, from January 1, 2019, the norms of goods that are imported into Russia without paying customs duties in international mail or express carriers, as well as citizens in accompanied and unaccompanied baggage, are changing. For goods purchased abroad and delivered within one calendar month to the address of one individual, an individual will not have to pay customs duties and taxes if the value of the goods does not exceed the amount equivalent to 500 euros, and their weight is 31 kg.
It should be noted that the goods ordered (purchased) in 2018, but received for customs clearance in 2019, will be issued according to the norms of 2019.
The norm for goods transported by air remains unchanged. Without paying duties and taxes, it will be possible to import goods worth up to 10,000 euros and weighing up to 50 kg. If individuals carry goods by road and rail, sea and river transport, as well as on foot, accompanied and (or) unaccompanied baggage, then goods worth up to 500 euros and (or) weighing up to 25 kg are not subject to customs payments.
In case of exceeding the established values, you will need to pay customs duties. When calculating, a single rate of 30% of the cost of the goods is applied, but not less than 4 euros per kilogram of weight in terms of exceeding the cost and/or weight norm. For indivisible goods weighing more than 35 kg, customs duties and taxes are calculated from the total cost and from the total weight of the goods.
