From 7 to 28 February, the Fashion and Design Center D3 will host the exhibition "New Craft". Visitors will see more than 100 works created by the finalists of the competition "Makers", which the magazine Seasons has been holding annually since 2013. The objective of the contest is "Makers"  promotion and support of small creative businesses in Russia, the formation of a community of makers among the creative class, the discovery of new names in design.

The exhibition introduces the most interesting projects created by professional designers, artists, illustrators, sculptors and artisans. Among the exhibits are clothes, shoes, jewelry, toys, tableware, furniture, lamps and other interior items made at local factories in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ryazan, Penza, Smolensk, Krasnodar, Arkhangelsk from natural materials (wood, clay, concrete, metal, wax, wool, cotton, linen, etc.) in various craft techniques, often without the use of machine labor.

The exhibition presents 27 Russian brands. Among the exhibits you can see products inspired by the nature of Karelia, works of the textile workshop Elnik, fabrics of the designer Alyona Selezneva, hand-dyed natural materials, clothes made of traditional oriental fabrics from the brand Ikat&More. Also among the participants of the project «New Craft» two brands working with ceramics will be presented: ceramics studio Redneck, created by graduates of Stroganov Moscow Art Institute, and handmade ceramics workshopstrong>Charlotte Bakery.

The exhibition will be decorated in the traditional style of the Seasons magazine: textured stumps, trunks, tree bark, branches, natural moss, cones, pine needles. The atmosphere of the magical forest will be complemented by the sound of birds singing, the crackling of branches, the knock of a woodpecker.

On weekends, during the entire exhibition, the Fashion and Design Center will host a lecture hall of "Makers", where you can personally meet people who have changed their lives by opening a small creative business, and are successfully developing it today.

Also within the framework of the exhibition, a presentation of the restoration workshop Seasons «12 chairs» will be held, which will be located in the D3 Fashion and Design Center. Visitors of the workshop will be able to master the basic skills of restoration of wooden objects under the guidance of professional restorers.
