The success of the Australian prideful

Founder of her own brand Oneteaspoon, designer and businesswoman Jamie Blakey was included in the ten percent of startups that make you a millionaire. According to statistics, only one out of ten projects in crowdfunding and startups does not fail. And those who have achieved worldwide recognition and made their business very profitable are even fewer. Well, women in these percentages can generally be searched under a magnifying glass.

Jamie Blakey is the founder and designer of the Oneteaspoon brand and her shorts, from which her business started.

But this Australian woman listened to her mom and succeeded.

"When I was a kid, my mom always said: Be a leader, not a follower! It affected my whole life, my mother didn't want me to follow a predictable life path. It was my mother who helped me understand myself, listen and use intuition.

Jamie started with crowdfunding, releasing her first denim items. Her denim shorts, which she called Bandit, gained particular popularity in 2005.

They have been worn for many years by celebrities such as top models Kendall Jenner, Alessandra Ambrosio, Shanina Shayk.

Today, the Oneteaspoon brand is promoted in the USA and Europe. However, the prices for things (and Jakey went from a pair of shorts to lines of women's clothing, denim, men's line and home textiles) are not as democratic as we would like.

For example, an oversize jacket is sold for two hundred and fifty euros in stores around the world. The quality of the tailoring is not bad. The shades of the collections are always concise:or everything is pink, or gray, or blue.

Jakey doesn't like to risk profits. This helped her today to enter the top three most successful women in the fashion industry, who launched their startup from scratch (according to the American media).

At the same time, the designer never gave up on failures, but moved on.

"In business, it's important not to get hung up if what you planned didn't work out," Blakey said in an interview with the Huffington Post Australia. Jakey is one of those ladies with nerves of steel who never gives up. And it won't reduce prices. She will proudly stand her ground. Proving that her shorts are Bandit and after fifteen years it is necessary and fashionable to wear. At the same time, new trends also touch the Australian brand, albeit in passing. Because Jakey will never copy American or European trends without taking into account local preferences. Of course, not everything in business is always successful. But even here Blakey is not discouraged.

Quite often things don't go exactly according to plan, but it's how you adapt to changes and promote your project that shows whether you are going to do it in the long run. Accept your small failures, learn from your mistakes and keep moving on. People always ask me where do I start? My advice: everything is just beginning, and this undertaking happens every day! You can continue to develop your plan and change something along the way, but too many people think for a long time, afraid to act. I prefer to start doing business right away, plunging headlong into my idea and trying to implement it, despite everything in the world.

Of course, not all the ideas of the OneTeaspoon brand are so unique that it makes sense to take a closer look at purchases from Jamie. But her perseverance and desire to always be a leader in everything are worthy of respect.
