The domestic clothing market is expanding
In 2024, the Russian fashion market increased by 24% compared to 2023. According to the data kommersant.ru The niche of European brands that left in 2022 is now actively occupied by domestic and Asian manufacturers.

During the period from January to April 2024, the volume of production and supply of branded clothing reached 28 million rubles (+24%). There is also an increase in imports, the total amount of deliveries for 4 months amounted to 16.2 million, which means 21% more than in the same period in 2023.

The publication considers the democratization of prices to be a pronounced trend. For example, in April, prices for labeled products in the middle segment fell by 4% from last year. This is due to high competition, in which domestic manufacturers cannot dramatically increase the cost of goods.
