Program:
  • savings after the implementation of the program – in numbers;
  • help when ordering digital printing on fabric: visual selection of successful sizes and combinations of rapport;
  • principles of operation in the program;
  • creating paradoxical «disguised» images – clothes, etc.;
  • comparison of real and "virtual" photos.

February 21, 14:30  workshop «Development and gradation of patterns in CAD «Assol»why designers like parametric gradation so much»

Program:
  1. Overview of design methods and gradation on the example of CAD «Assol»;:
    • classical method (gradation by setting increments);
    • parametric method (auto-adjustment of the structure to the selected height-dimensions).
  2. The principles of each method and their differences:
    • classic – is more similar to manual construction:
      • construction by standard commands with semi-automatic elements;
      • design correction: manual (each part is adjusted separately, there is no relationship between the parts);
      • gradation: setting increments to the reference points of patterns for reproduction (examples, slides, videos).
    • parametric –intelligent approach to model construction:
      • building: the program automatically records the building process;
      • using the basic basics built into the program and their elements (collars, sleeves, etc.);
      • use of modeling blocks built into the program (tuck, reliefs, etc.);
      • design correction: automatic modification of all parts due to their interconnection;
      • gradation: the use of automatic reconstruction of the structure by substituting dimensional features.
  3. Advantages and disadvantages of each method.
  4. Which of the ways to choose?
    • traditional method:
      • tattooing method work;
      • entering a cardboard base of patterns (a simple assortment);
      • working with patterns that do not require reproduction to different sizes (furniture, car covers, leather goods);
      • for fans of the traditional method of construction and reproduction.
    • parametric method:
      • entering the paper base base;
      • rapid creation of new models (based on used ones or from scratch);
      • assembly of the structure from ready-made elements;
      • saving time on correcting patterns;
      • saving time and effort on reproduction (any size).
