Schiaparelli Couture 2024: a collection that is not bought, but collected

Daniel Roseberry, creative director of Schiaparelli, presented the autumn 2024 collection, full of mysteries and fascinating shapes.

The inspiration for the collection was Elsa Schiaparelli, the legendary designer and creator of the brand, known for her freedom, lack of inhibitions and unique style. We talked in detail about her and the history of the brand in this article.

This season, Roseberry has reinterpreted femininity, creating a collection that is both elegant and rebellious.

Dresses with architectural shapes, cutouts, precious stones, fantastic elements — all this creates a unique image of a Schiaparelli woman.

As Roseberry himself says: "People don't buy Schiaparelli, they collect it."

The collection, presented in an intimate atmosphere, showcased dresses where each element told a story.

Roseberry wrote in his notes: "You can see the origin of each image, how each moved from sketch to fabric."

Each outfit was created to evoke emotions, be it tenderness, passion or rebellion. The musical accompaniment enhanced the effect, from a live performance of Nina Simone's "Simple Golden Ring" to a poignant version of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive." The final dresses streaming down the catwalk left an indelible impression on the audience.

In the age of social media, where shocking content is required to capture the viewer's attention, Roseberry has found the perfect formula for creating dramatic and unusual collections.

Schiaparelli continues to challenge stereotypes and create unique fashion.
