In the Russian regions, large-scale inspections of shopping centers will be held after the fire in the Winter Cherry in Kemerovo, which killed over 60 people. Fire safety inspection in shopping and entertainment centers was ordered to be carried out by the governor of the Sakhalin region Oleg Kozhemyako. Additional fire safety checks will be held in Lipetsk shopping centers. The press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Lipetsk region noted that while the issue of closing shopping centers before the inspection and during is not raised, however, it is already known that the events will be held jointly with the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Recall that a fire on the fourth floor in the Winter Cherry shopping center in Kemerovo occurred on March 25 at about 13:00 Moscow Time (17:00 local time). The fire was located near cinemas and children's playgrounds with attractions. According to preliminary data, one of the attractions caught fire. According to the latest data, 64 people were killed, including 41 children. 11 people are considered missing, including a group of children from Tomsk.
