Textile Business Practices at Intertkan-2017
From August 28 to August 30, 2017, the III International Exhibition of Fabrics and Textile Materials Intertkan-2017 was held at the Moscow Expocenter. Autumn». Compared to the spring exhibition, the number of participants increased by 20%:More than 100 companies presented their products. The geography has also expanded: in addition to the leading Russian manufacturers (Vologda Textile Mill, «Red Weavers», «Shuisky chintzes», etc.), participants came from Italy, France, Great Britain, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Latvia, Lithuania, India, Turkey.
Practicality is the main trend of the current exhibition. All the participants of the textile practice, and all the developments and novelties that they presented, already have a real embodiment.
The business program of the exhibition was also aimed at the practical solution of various issues. The participants discussed the methods of state support and the possibilities of financing the textile industry, the state of the market and forecasts for the future. The focus was on the optimization of production processes, technologies, sales and distribution. Effective methods of brand promotion, their promotion were considered, and fashion trends were not spared. Visual trends.
Within the framework of the exhibition, for the first time in Russia, the Textile Expert Forum was held, the task of which was to show the main directions and key themes for the fall–winter 2018/19 clothing collections.
All the fabric samples exhibited by the participating companies were presented in a special zone. The name and stand of the manufacturer were indicated on each sample. Thus, it was enough for visitors to inspect the Textile Expert Forum and immediately go to the suppliers of the samples they were interested in.
The result of the work of the Textile Expert Forum was the "Intertank Award". A professional jury selected 4 best samples. The leaders were fabrics with original decoration, decoration and finishing; fabric produced using innovative technology; fabric with unusual tactile properties and colors capable of... convey emotions!
At the exhibition, it was possible to get acquainted with the latest trends and developments in the field of fabric production and processing. So, full-cycle digital printing on fabric is one of the directions of modern design. In this segment, the company SIA Restyle stood out, which develops design, performs printing, processes fabric both before and after. However, printing is possible only on natural fabrics: silk, cotton, linen, viscose, wool, up to 10% elastane in the composition.
Warm fabrics for the upcoming season were taken care of by the company "Oretex Fur". The market niche of the manufacturer is new high-tech warm fabrics made of artificial and natural fibers, necessarily eco-friendly. These are fleece, velour, terry, fur and yarn.
In general, the choice of warm fabrics at the exhibition is great - a seasonal trend. For example, at the stand of the Italian manufacturer Nesatex there was a lot of warm knitwear with natural yarn (cashmere, alpaca, angora), felt and quilted materials. The design visitors were also interested in the exclusive development of the company's round-knitted knitwear without seams.
Fabrics and clothing for tourism, outdoor sports and walking in any weather have special requirements. To protect against wind, rain, snow and wind, a multi-layer construction of knitwear, membrane, insulation and protective coating is required. Such products are produced by the world's leading brands (Salomon, Odlo, Columbia and others), and such things are quite expensive.
Against this background, I was pleased with the appearance of production in Russia. The company "Adventum Technologies" is trying to transfer Western patented technologies to us through a joint venture with European Concordia Textiles and Carrington Career & Workwear Ltd. These are exactly the brands whose developments we see in the products of the leading Western brands of outdoor clothing.
«Intertkan-2017.Autumn" was also rich in beautiful solutions. One of the striking examples of the fact that any product can be turned into a work of art was demonstrated by the Indian company Shanagar. She undertakes to decorate any surface with beads, sequins and embroidery, and not just thin or dense fabrics, like many. The designs may look vintage or modern, but in any case, the uniqueness of traditional Indian art is visible.
Manufacturers of accessories are not lagging behind, without which it is impossible to do. They are convinced that even the most necessary things can be made aesthetic. For example, there is a new coating for zippers Soft Touch (manufacturer Afa). It feels like rubber – soft, elastic, very pleasant. Surely using such a zipper, for example, on outerwear in cold weather will be much more pleasant than usual.
There were really a lot of interesting and sometimes unexpected things presented at the exhibition. It is not surprising that the exhibition ends with the second Trade and purchasing session "Legprom" online!""with the participation of the largest retail chains and manufacturers. I would like to hope that the presented developments will not remain a thing in themselves, but will be in demand in mass production and will reach us, the buyers.
