Within the framework of the Russian Retail WeekViktor Yevtukhov,Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation,spoke at the expert discussion "TaxFree: first experience and prospects".

Today TaxFree operates in more than 50 countries around the world. In 2018 Russia has joined these countries. According to the Ministry, the TaxFree system has 53 locations in 12 regions of Russia awaiting participants, organizers and fans of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Viktor Yevtukhov noted that the TaxFree system works in 130 stores, but applications for participation are received daily. According to the established regulations, trade organizations must exist for at least two years, and also must not have any debts on taxes and fees.

Since April 10, 2018, more than 2.5 thousand citizens from 100 countries have used the TaxFree system. During the 2 months of the pilot project with the registration of checks TaxFree, goods worth 350 million rubles have already been sold.

Also Viktor Yevtukhov announced what improvements the pilot project expects. After the introduction of the software into the paper document flow, which is carried out between organizations, operators of TaxFree, Customs and Tax Services, will be replaced by electronic. This will expand the geography of the project.

About 900 thousand potential buyers are expected to arrive at the World Championship, foreigners who will come to cheer for their teams. The Agency will consider the implementation of the project throughout the country.
