PANDORA launches collaboration with Quintiq

The company Quintiq, part of the Dassault Systèmes, a world leader in supply chain planning and optimization solutions (SCP&O), announced that their software it will be used in the PANDORA production expansion program. PANDORA, the world's largest jewelry manufacturer in terms of output, intends to double its production capacity by the end of 2019 from the level of 2015 to meet the growing demand at 7800 points of sale in more than 100 countries around the world where the company's products are sold.

 

PANDORA plans to implement Quintiq for operational production planning at three factories in Thailand, where as of 2017 about 88% of all the company's jewelry is produced. The solution Quintiq will allow PANDORA to optimize production planning, which plays a key role in improving the use of existing and future production capacities of the company, as well as in increasing the productivity of its activities.

New production opportunities to expand sales and meet growing demand

 

For PANDORA, the constant task is to meet the demand from a growing number of retail stores. Last year, the company opened 376 concept stores, in

as a result, their total number amounted to more than 2,400 outlets. Recently, the company has opened its own online store eStore in China together with Tmail.com owned by the Chinese Alibaba Group.

 

 

 

 

PANDORA produces more than 117 000000 jewelry per year, presented in about 1500 types of design, and also creates more than 500 new jewelry concepts within individual product campaigns and to meet seasonal demand. The solution Quintiq will help optimize the use of production equipment and human resources, ensuring that specialized specialists have the necessary skills to fulfill the set production plan. The solution will provide the necessary flexibility for efficient use of resources and timely execution of orders, including taking into account the peaks of seasonal customer demand. Thus, Quintiq will help PANDORA significantly reduce the production cycle time, allowing the company to bring amazing new products to the market even faster, while continuing to provide peak demand and generate customer interest in its modern jewelry.
