On December 4, more than 25 domestic brands will take part in the Moscow Competition of Young Fashion Designers
On December 4, 2023, the XI season of the Moscow Competition of Young Fashion Designers (MKMM) will be held on the site of the theater "School of Modern Play" (Moscow, Neglinnaya 29).
More than 25 fashion brands will present their works at the show. Among them there are two young designers: Angelina Verkhovskaya and Maria Konina, who on a competitive basis received a grant to participate in the fashion show on December 4 from the organizers of the MKMM. By tradition, the site will host a demonstration of the works of new creative brands, dictating to us the newest and most modern trends of future seasons. The brand "VARVARA", beloved by everyone and already known for its original prints, will headline and open the event with a show.
The theme of this year will be the "Reliquary" – a container for storing valuable relics of sacred significance. What secrets and treasures are kept by young fashion designers, the audience will be able to find out and see on December 4 at the MKMM shows. "The competition is important for young designers of our country. We already have our own history of about 15 years and a positive experience in the implementation of this event, because more than 3 thousand designers have become participants all the time. We are able to discover and support aspiring designers, connect them with fashion industry professionals and direct them in the right direction for further development and implementation," said Ekaterina Matveeva, author and producer of the International Competition of Young Fashion Designers.

The works will be evaluated by a qualified jury, including: Konstantin Andrikopoulos, Development Director of BOSCO DI CILIEGI and Head of BOSCO PRIVÉ; Eldar Kerimov, CEO of the art space "Flacon"; Svetlana Listopadova, publisher and editor-in-chief of the magazine Melon Rich and Finance Times, associate professor of the IPCC; Alexander Peremyatov, President of the Magic Group, founder of the first chain of department stores of Russian designers SLAVA CONCEPT and other experts.
The leading universities of the country became partners of the competition: A.N. Kosygin Russian State University and GUU (State University of Management). This partnership has opened doors of opportunity for many designers and models, providing them with a demonstration platform to promote their brand. The most active participating students have been given an educational internship for more than a year. Such cooperation allows representatives of emerging brands to explore new opportunities for creating unique fashion concepts, keep abreast of design trends, receive valuable advice and find inspiration for original, author's ideas.
The project is supported by companies such as Nord Star Media, which is engaged in advertising on digital billboards; VSG-SOUND COMPANY, technically accompanies events of any level; Design Factory, a modern urban space located on the territory of the former Crystal Factory.
