The group of companies "Shoes of Russia" summed up the results of the development of the retail network in the first half of 2019. It was a period of active growth – the retail network was replenished with 105 own stores. As of June 30, 2019, the Group included 837 stores (166 of them franchised) in 320 cities of Russia.

The press service of the company reports that in the first half of the year the geography of sales has been significantly expanded − the company has entered 92 new cities. The retail network is replenished with new stores throughout the country. The largest number of openings was in the Siberian Federal District − 42%, the Group also strengthened its positions in the Urals − 20%, the Far East − 18% and in the Volga region − 17%, 2% of new outlets were located in the North-Western part of Russia.

In accordance with the development strategy, the company mainly launched stores in the street format - 91%, 9% of new stores were launched in shopping centers. In the first half of the year, the total retail area of its own stores increased by 9% from 53.8 thousand sq. m to 58.6 thousand sq. m. If you look at the structure of brand openings for 6 months, then "Shoes of Russia" relies on the main brand Westfalika − 99.3%.

Anton Titov, Director of the Obuv Rossii Group of Companies, commented on the state of affairs and development strategy: "In 2018, we improved the retail management system, created enlarged regional divisions. Thanks to the new structure, we can open 30−40 new stores on a regular basis every month. We have analyzed the regions that are promising for the development of the network and have identified more than 400 localities for opening stores in the next 2−3 years. Now we see great potential in small towns with a population of 50−100 thousand people and give them priority when opening stores. In such cities, capital costs are lower, rental rates and promotion costs are lower, while there is a low level of competition and a great demand for high-quality shoes and services. In total, we plan to open 150 new stores in 2019.
