MOMAD Metropolis: a window into the coming winter
Year after year, the event shows qualitative and quantitative growth and gathers the best exhibitors of the ready-to-wear segment, who are keenly aware of the constantly changing market requirements.
In the new season, the exposition will bring together about 900 brands that will demonstrate samples of the latest collections of the autumn-winter 2017/18 season, among which brands that produce women's clothing, evening and festive fashion, and various accessories are traditionally represented. In addition, the exhibition will exhibit samples of summer collections, eco-fashion, as well as samples of collections of the current season. For the convenience of visitors, all brands will traditionally be classified by sector.
One of the innovations of the next MOMAD Metropolis season was the increase in the area for the presentation of brands operating in the street style segment. For them, as well as for environmental clothing, a larger than usual area is allocated - this is the Fast & Young sector, located in Pavilion 4 next to Winter Terrace. Fashion, music and gastronomy will be combined in this space. There will also be a showroom, where collections will be shown all the days of the exhibition.
Other segments of modern fashion clothing will be located in Pavilions 12 and 14. The fall-winter 2017/18 collections will be exhibited in Pavilion 12 in different segments: in the segment Contemporaneo – modern classics, Casual – youth fashion, Complementos y Espacio Metro – accessories and clothing of luxury and premium brands, as well as leather and fur clothing. In Pavilion 14, the brands will present the collections of the current season, available for order from a free warehouse. In addition, this pavilion will house brands of evening and festive clothing, as well as the Accessories segment.
MOMAD Fashion Forum is also planning changes in its business program. In addition to consultations with leading industry experts and the traditional discussion of issues of interest to all manufacturers and sellers of clothing, the results of a study on the development of a multi-brand direction, conducted together with Modaes.es , Asociacion Empresarial del Comercio Textil y Complementos (ACOTEX). For this purpose, a special section called MOMAD Fashion Lab is allocated.
This will be the third MOMAD Metropolis exhibition, which is held separately from the shoe segment exhibition. At the same time, the IFEMA-Feria de Madrid exhibition center will host the exhibitions Intergift and Bisutex y MadridJoya, an exhibition of gifts and an exhibition of jewelry. This turns the territory of Feria de Madrid into the largest and most complete fashion exhibition for a few days, bringing together all the fashion trends of Southern Europe.
And from March 4 to March 6, the international exhibition of shoes and leather goods MOMAD Shoes, also organized by IFEMA, will open its doors.
