Moscow's fashion industry will be developed
On February 1, about 500 leaders of the Moscow fashion industry market gathered in the Digital Business Space on Pokrovka to discuss current problems and prospects for the development of the industry.
The large-scale meeting, which brought together manufacturers, designers, buyers, representatives of educational platforms and industry media, was organized by the Department of Science of Industrial Policy of the City of Moscow, the Moscow Innovation Agency, GBU "Small Business of Moscow" with the support of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was held in the format of an open dialogue of the professional community with the city authorities.Its purpose was to clarify the problems of Moscow's small fashion business previously formulated by the expert group and the options for their solutions to form an effective support program from the Moscow Government.
Opening the plenary session, Head of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the City of Moscow Alexey Fursin asked the audience who knows about the existing support programs for small and medium-sized businesses by the Moscow government and who uses them.In response to both questions, no more than a dozen hands were raised from the audience. Therefore, the participants of the meeting were presented with a presentation highlighting the actual mechanisms of support for Moscow small and medium-sized businesses. Fursin noted that business and government should develop the fashion industry together. He proposed to hold a mini-competition of concepts for the development of the fashion industry within the Department, when everyone will be able to present their vision, and the most effective mechanisms will be taken into account in the already unified concept of supporting this industry.
The speeches were continued by two speakers, Emil Petrosyan, Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the City of Moscow, and the General Director of the GBU, the Moscow Innovation Agency.Alexey Parabuchev. They discussed with market participants the creation of a single online platform for interaction between industry representatives. The key issues of the development of the fashion industry in the capital and measures of its support by the city were identified, interesting proposals were put forward.During the discussion, an online vote was held to determine effective solutions to the current challenges of the industry.
After the completion of the business program, the participants were invited to continue working in specialized groups to work out system proposals to support young designers, provide the industry with professional personnel, and promote the brand Made in Moscow and others
