LVMH workshops in Italy

LVMH Institut des Métiers d’Excellence, which recently opened new branches in France, Switzerland and Italy, organized the first Italian master classes in early April 2018. On this occasion, students of the Polimoda and For.Al We were invited to the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, where the headquarters of Fendi has been located since 2015. Together with French students from Haute Ecole de Joaillerie, the best students of the program For.Al We visited the New Curiosity Shop, owned byBulgari, as well as the workshops of this Fashion House. Two excursion days were completely devoted to the transfer of skills and experience.

 

 

Two master classes organized by LVMH Istituto dei Mestieri d'Eccellenza for students of Polimoda programs(Florence, Italy) and For.Al (Valencia, Italy), united in workshop visits, seminars and lively discussions.

 

 

The first day was held at Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana with the participation of Paolo Lauretta, Director of Human Resources at Fendi, and Frederic Munoz, Director of Operations at Fendi.A tour of the building and an exhibition of Fendi Studios dedicated to the House's connections with the world of cinema were held for the participants. In the afternoon, the students presented their works with leather and jewelry on the theme of "Studio and works".

 


On the second day, the Fashion House Bulgari opened its doors.Students listened to a presentation of the brand from Sarah Franco, jewelry design manager, and took part in a workshop at a jewelry atelier with creative director Lucia Silvestri. And this day, full of interesting and informative events, ended on the historic flagship Bulgari in Rome, Condotti.

 

 

The next day, the students went to Valencia to inspect the Bulgari factory. The largest jewelry production in Europe. There, future designers had the opportunity to show their suspicions to fellow students and exchange skills acquired within the framework of relevant training programs.



LVMH Institut des Métiers d’Excellence is not the first time holding such international master classes with the support of famous Fashion houses, following its mission to transfer knowledge about craftsmanship, design and retail to new generations, both in France and abroad.
