LVMH strengthens its position

A global giant in the luxury segment, LVMH recorded revenue of 9.9 billion euros in the first quarter of 2017. Compared to the same period last year, this indicator increased by 15%, and net revenue by 13%. This is what has become possible thanks to the growth of all areas of the company's business, in almost all regions of its presence. business groups. Positive growth was achieved in Asia, Europe and the USA. However, the company is not going to rest on its laurels and does not recommend extrapolating these results for a year.

 

 

If you look at the product categories, the fashion section showed an increase of 15% (3.405 billion euros), due to the high results of the brands Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Céline, Kenzo, Loewe and Berluti.The perfumery and cosmetics sector finished the first quarter with revenue of 1.395 billion euros and 12% growth, while watches and jewelry brought revenue of 0.879 billion euros, which is 14% higher than last year's values.

 

 

LVMH plans to continue concentrating on promoting its brands, improving business processes and optimizing costs in order to strengthen its leading position in the global luxury goods market this year.
