LVMH expands educational programs in Italy

After success in France and Switzerland, LVMH Institut des Métiers d'Excellence extends its activities to Italy by opening its headquarters in Florence, in Palazzo Pucci, the historic home of Maison Emilio Pucci. The Institut des Métiers d'Excellence program will train talented artisans and retail specialists. The opening ceremony on November 27 was attended by Mayor of Florence, Dario Nardella, Managing Director of the LVMH Group, Tony Belloni, Executive Vice President of the LVMH Group, Chantal Hemperle, as well as future students of the Florentine Universitystrong>LVMH Istituto dei Mestieri d'Eccellenza.

 

 

LVMH Institut des Métiers d'Excellence was established in 2014 to transfer the unique experience of the holding's professionals in the production of high-quality handmade products, design development and retail sales.Since its inception, the Institut des Métiers d'Excellence has trained more than 300 students.Professional training programs combine theoretical courses in partner schools with professional experience in different divisions of the LVMH group. Students also study foreign languages and master innovative learning formats.

The opening ceremony was also a celebration of the beginning of the academic year for students of two Italian programs already launched by LVMH Institut des Métiers d'Excellence in Italy. The first, with the Polimoda Institute, with a specialization in leather products. The second, with For.Al , – jewelry art.They will soon be joined by retail and footwear programs in the Veneto region, plus the existing 18 training programs.
