From February 20 to 24, the Russian Textile and Light Industry Week was held in Moscow, bringing together several key exhibitions for the industry at the Expocentre Fairgrounds: Inlegmash (equipment for the production and processing of textiles); Techtextil Russia (fiber-based materials, raw materials, equipment, products); «CJF – Children's fashion» «Intertwining». However, the central event of the Week was the "Legpromforum".
More than 20 thousand specialists visited the exhibition areas, and the number of exhibitors exceeded 1500. 25 thousand m2 of exhibition space was involved in eight pavilions of the Expocentre Fairgrounds.
The business part of the "Light Industry Week" included the 4th International Light Industry Forum "Light Industry Forum", the XV Practical Business Forum of the exhibition "CJF" Children's Fashion" and the XIV ceremony of awarding the national industry Award "Golden Spindle".; 2016». In just three main days, more than 1,500 people took part in the business program.
The main topic of the forum in 2017 was intersectoral cooperation, including work with retail chains, petrochemical, furniture and pulp and paper industries.
Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and administrations of many subjects of the Federation (St. Petersburg, Ivanovo, Novosibirsk, Oryol and other regions), expert, scientific communities, and the media became participants in almost all events of the "Light Industry Week".
The opening of the Week fell on February 20, and the plenary session held on the same day "New initiatives in the promotion of light and textile products" demonstrated the growing interest of representatives of government authorities and the expert community in solving the problems of the textile industry of the country. The participants assessed the current situation in the domestic light industry and identified promising areas for the development of this industrial complex.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov said that the volume of state support for the industry this year will increase to 3 billion rubles, for equipment leasing it will amount to 1 billion rubles. Subsidizing loans, facilitating the localization of production, measures to limit the export of raw materials, assistance in attracting investments will also be among the main measures of direct and indirect support for the light industry. The support of the industry's landmark projects aimed at the development of import substitution will continue: for example, these are projects in the field of technical textiles, including the production of worsted fabrics. According to Viktor Yevtukhov, one of the key tasks of further development of the industry is to establish inter-industry cooperation and stimulate consumer demand for domestic products. This can be done primarily through the expansion of the product line.
The head of the CCI of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin stressed in his speech that the Light Industry Week has become the leading platform for the domestic light industry to present the industry's capabilities, its innovative and technological potential. Here the professional community will be able to establish new contacts, exchange experience, discuss and develop recommendations for the government, ministries and departments, the State Duma, which will help the development of industry.
Speaking at the opening, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science Vyacheslav Nikonov said that "even in difficult economic conditions, the country's light industry is showing vigorous growth. However, it is important to continue to help domestic producers, and this is not only direct financial assistance, but also affordable credit and stable taxes. The deputy noted: "For example, in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the regional government recently approved a strategy for the development of a cluster of light industry, providing for its transition to an innovative development model by increasing competitive advantages, increasing the production of high-quality products of a new generation, attracting investment, solving issues of protecting the domestic market from counterfeit. The principled position of the State Duma is that even in difficult economic conditions, the manufacturer should be able to work normally and not be crushed by taxes.
As it was noted by Viktor Yevtukhov at the plenary session, it is planned to create technological modern linen clusters in the Tver and Smolensk regions, taking into account the greater demand for linen products in the production of technical textiles and the continued growth in the consumption of domestic linen fabrics in the country. The list of textile goods subject to mandatory electronic labeling will also be expanded: "The experience of such work with fur products has proven its effectiveness. And its main indicators are the rapid rate of exit of this sub-sector and its products from the shadow sector. Including in the field of export-import».
A series of master classes was successfully held on the first day of the "Light Industry Week". Alexandra Kaloshina, founder of SolstudioTextileDesign textile design studio and Radical Chic accessories brand, spoke about the trends of the spring-summer 2018 season in textile design. The founder of the specialized school for companies and entrepreneurs Elena Regak held a master class "How to market and promote your own brand". The master class of the general director of the knitting factory "Zhakot" Elena Gorelova was called "The evolution of the production management system at different stages of the life cycle".
