Lee Wood joined Dirk Bikkembergs

Briton Lee Wood has become the new creative director of the brand Dirk Bikkembergs.

 

The autumn-winter season collection was the designer's first work for the brand. The fashion house Dirk Bikkembergs entrusts creative leadership over the first line of the men's collection, as well as the second lines of the men's, women's and children's collections, published under the brand Bikkembergs. Performing this difficult task, the designer will have to revise the stylistic canons of Dirk Bikkembergs.

The collection Bikkembergs autumn–winter 2017/18 takes us back to the origins of the brand, focusing on the fusion of sports and street style. The second line of the brand is expressive silhouettes defined by strict lines in the army style, combining simplicity and classics. The bright and energetic collection supports the well-known mantra of the brand «Mens sana in corpore sano» («In a healthy body – a healthy mind»). Perfectly tailored jackets, trousers with stripes, voluminous down jackets in black and white, diluted with flashes of inky blue and orange colors. Invariably present in the collection are knitted trousers and sweatshirts decorated with logos and reminiscent of the brand's "sports" DNA.
