"Jewelers of Russia" in Grozny
On December 1–December 3, the capital of the Chechen Republic hosted the region's first exhibition of products of Russian jewelry manufacturers and suppliers of precious stones «Jewelers of Russia». The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia with the support of the Government of the Chechen Republic, and the opening ceremony of the exhibition pavilion, created by a unique project, was attended by the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov.20 Russian manufacturers from nine Russian cities from Yakutsk to Kaliningrad.
The specialists who came to the exhibition discussed the features and prospects of the development of the Russian jewelry industry. According to the participants of the discussion, domestic jewelry products sufficiently meet the needs of the domestic market, and also deservedly receives high marks abroad.
Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov commented on the opening of the exhibition in his welcome letter: «This is an important event for the entire jewelry industry of our country. It is gratifying to note that in Russia the number of talented craftsmen and enterprises creating new collections of works of art from precious metals and stones is growing every year. I am sure that this exhibition will become a landmark platform for demonstrating the achievements of Russian jewelers, and will also contribute to strengthening the fruitful cooperation of all representatives of the domestic jewelry industry.
During the exhibition, there was a presentation of innovative technologies and equipment used by Russian manufacturers of precious products, as well as experimental innovations of the Russian jewelry labeling market.
In addition, on December 2, a factory for cutting precious products was opened in Grozny at the expense of investments by the director of the Indian HVK International, Sani Sakaria. The company will create up to 60 new jobs. Advanced diamond production technologies will be applied here, as well as leading gemologists and cutters will be involved. The finished products will enter the markets of a number of countries, including China and India. In the future, it is planned to create a branch of the company in Moscow.
