Changes in the timing of labeling of product residues may change

Since April 1, 2024, mandatory labeling of most light industry goods has been introduced in Russia. At the moment, the only exceptions are underwear, socks and stockings, children's clothing and several other categories, the labeling of which will be introduced from March 1, 2025.

It was planned that it would be possible to sell unmarked residues until June 30, 2024. However, due to difficulties for retailers, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to postpone the ban on the sale of unmarked clothing from July 1 to September 15.

Co-Chairman of the Digital Initiatives Committee of the Association of Retail Companies (ACORT) Anna Orlova noted that the issue of extending the deadlines is at the final stage of coordination with federal executive authorities. The initiative was also supported by the operator of the state marking system "Honest Sign" — the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT).

Labeling of product residues on marketplaces has become a serious problem for manufacturers. If you do not have time to label the products, you will have to withdraw them from sale, which means you will suffer serious losses. At the moment, of the marketplaces represented in Russia, only Lamoda and Yandex Market offered to carry out labeling in their warehouses.
