A large international sports retailer Intersport and an electronic trading platform Tmall (Alibaba Group) opened inBeijing joint innovative retail store. The combination of modern retail and e-commerce technologies will allow Chinese consumers to make more informative and exciting shopping. 

A two-level retail space with an area of 1,300 square meters, opened under the brand Tmall x Intersport, is located in the tourist quarter on the streetQianmen and is a futuristic megastore selling goods of leading sports brands.

The opening took place on May 29, 2018. Numerous technological services and interactive games were presented to the store's customers. In particular, the technologiesSmart Shelf andSmart Shoe Mirror are able to instantly provide information about the shoes that the customer removes from the store shelf. The megastore also implements the AI Shopping Assistant function, an interactive mirror that allows you to pick up accessories and other things to the clothes that the client is trying to try on. The retail space is also equipped withCloud Shelf technology– a virtual shelf with a selection of models four times larger than the current range of megastore. Customers can stay in the store around the clock.Thanks to the motion sensor system, the giant screen detects the gender and age of the client and recommends the most suitable type of shoes. The logistics serviceCainiao (part of Alibaba) delivers goods from the store to the nearest residential quarters in 2 hours, and also provides a service for the delivery of purchases the next day, including outside Beijing.
