HUAWEI unveils the future of mobile photography
Huawei Consumer Business Group has introduced new flagship smartphones HUAWEI P20 and HUAWEI P20 Pro. Among the main innovations are the world's first triple camera Leica in the HUAWEI P20 Pro model and advanced functions based on artificial intelligence.

The HUAWEI P20 series is equipped with an artificial intelligence-based camera system that gives consumers access to the world of professional photography.
In addition to HUAWEI P20 and HUAWEI P20 Pro, the company introduced the third generation of the PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate RS smartphone. Continuing cooperation with one of the legendary global brands in the field of design, HUAWEI has combined the characteristic features of Porsche Design with innovative Huawei technologies in the new smartphone.
The play of light
The design of HUAWEI P20 series smartphones is based on the play of light and the gradient of colors. Especially unusual are the new colors of the cases, called twilight and rose-gold. They were created by applying several layers of NVMC optical coating (which does not contain volatile organic substances) under the glass coating of the back panel. As a result, the incident light, reflecting from different layers, is refracted and forms a gradient of shades. In addition to the new twilight color, both models of the P20 series are available in black and midnight blue.
The devices received HUAWEI FullView screens: HUAWEI P20 with a diagonal of 5.8 inches, and HUAWEI P20 Pro with a diagonal of 6.1 inches, with thin frames and a high ratio of the screen area to the surface of the case. The screen smoothly transitions into rounded side faces, allowing smartphones to lie comfortably in your hand.
Professional photographer with artificial intelligence
The P20 Pro model is equipped with a triple Leica camera with the highest resolution among the mobile cameras present on the market. It consists of a 40 MP RGB sensor, a 20 MP monochrome sensor and an 8 MP sensor equipped with a long-focus lens. Naturalness of color rendering and clarity of the image are provided by Leica color technology with a dedicated ISP image stabilizer and a light color temperature sensor.
The smartphone HUAWEI P20 has received a new Leica dual camera, which consists of a color module with a resolution of 12 MP (pixel size 1.55 nm) and a monochrome 20 MP module, thanks to which the camera successfully copes with night shooting.
HUAWEI's proprietary image stabilization technology, which provides 6-axis stabilization, supports slow-motion shooting of 960 frames per second, which is four times higher than the standard 240 frames per second. This allows you to notice details that are not visible to the human eye. In Ultra Snapshot mode, devices can take photos in less than 0.3 seconds by double pressing the volume key even when the screen is turned off.
Intelligent functions for everyday use
Built on the basis of the Kirin 970 processor and equipped with the EMUI 8.1 user interface and Android 8.1 OS, the P20 series smartphones demonstrate high performance and ease of access to all functions. The EMUI 8.1 interface opens up the possibilities of deep customization of devices and supports artificial intelligence technologies.
P20 smartphones have received a TÜV safety certificate for batteries, chargers and HUAWEI SuperCharge fast charging technology. The P20 Pro model is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery, and the P20 model has a 3400 mAh battery. Both smartphones have an intelligent power management function.
