Effective labeling

During the session «International coordination in the fight against illicit trafficking in industrial products: potential and prospects for development at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov stated that currently 10 groups of goods have been identified, the labeling of which is planned to be completed by 2024. He also noted that the labeling of goods introduced in the Russian Federation as part of the experiment has already proved its effectiveness.

Mr. Yevtukhov believes that the introduction of labeling is primarily beneficial to business due to problems with illegal turnover of products. "Unfair competition makes it impossible to develop enterprises, create jobs, pay wages and, accordingly, support the economy of the regions and the state as a whole," he explained.

Marking plays an important role in international trade Made in Russia. In his speech at the session "Made in Russia: national and territorial branding as instruments of economic development and promotion of Russia in the world" Viktor Yevtukhov said that in 2018 products under the brand "strong> Made in Russia"are planned to be exported to more&more than 40 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Africa. To increase the awareness of Russian brands and Russian products abroad The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia together with The Russian Export Center is implementing the project "Made in Russia".Participation in this project is completely free of charge and allows you to protect foreign consumers and bona fide Russian manufacturers from fakes and counterfeit. And for the duration of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, special presentation and exhibition spaces will be organized at the largest airports of the cities hosting the 2018 World Cup in order to promote and increase the awareness of Russian exporting companies among foreign guests of the championship.

The benefits of the introduction of labeling were also noted by a member of the presidium of the Association of Retail Companies, the owner of the retail chain "Snow Queen"Vugar Isaev, whose company took part in an experiment on labeling fur products. "When we started the introduction of labeling, we had one or two companies working legally.Today, we see about 60% of the market in the traceability system. Labeling gives fundamental advantages, disadvantages here can only be for those companies that do not want to work in a legal field,"says Mr. Isaev.

Labeling will serve a good service not only for business, but also for consumers. With the help of labeling, anyone can check the legality of the purchased goods. For these purposes, among other things, a special application is being developed where you can find out all the necessary information about the product, leave a complaint and receive bonuses.
