Digitalization of retail at the Russian Retail Week

From June 6 to June10, 2018 in Moscow, at the World Trade Center, the IV International Forum of Business and Government The Week of Russian Retail 2018 will be held , organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Russian Association of Retail Market Experts (RAERR).


According to Viktor Yevtukhov, State Secretary of the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Russian Retail Week, the largest industry event, is a platform for active dialogue between manufacturers and retailers, discussion of legislative initiatives with retail practitioners, industry associations and unions, representatives of related industries.

 


The main focus of NRP-2018 is aimed at the digital transformation of retail. According to Andrey Karpov, Head of the forum Directorate, Chairman of the RAERR Board, current challenges force retailers to change seriously and quickly, radically transform business processes, and use new digital opportunities for this. "The vast majority of retail companies are actively engaged in the implementation of new digital projects,"these are loyalty programs and big date, omnichannel and predictive analytics, HR-Tech and the next innovations in government accounting systems. The changes that are taking place affect not only the business of retailers and suppliers, they concern each of us, he noted.


Within the framework of the business program NRP-2018, more than 70 events will be held with the participation of the heads of the largest retail and manufacturing companies, industry unions, representatives of the expert community, federal and regional authorities. The exhibitors of the RETAIL WEEK EXPO exhibition taking place within the framework of the forum will demonstrate to the forum participants modern retail technologies, novelties of retail equipment and IT solutions for retail. The successes of the most worthy retailers operating in Russia will be marked by the RETAIL WEEK AWARDS.

 

Another important innovation HP – personal rating TOP RETAIL MANAGERS, which will be held for the first time on the site HPR June 8, 2018. The target audience of the rating is the top management of retail chains. TOP RETAIL MANAGERS includes 14 nominations, among which: «The face of the industry», «General Management», «Financial Director», «Operating Director», «Commercial Director»;, «Director of STM», «Director of Marketing», «Director of Public Relations and Communications » and others. The final rating table will include 700 managers who scored the highest points according to the voting results. According to Denis Vasiliev, Vice President of the Russian Association of Retail Market Experts (RAERR), the TOP RETAIL MANAGERS rating introduces an element of gamification and involvement of retail chain employees in the process of identifying the best managers in the industry:The rating performs a double task, motivating both employees and employers at the same time. Employees are motivated by additional recognition and awards. And for the network, the presence of nominees in its composition is an indicator of its "stardom", the professionalism of the team.

 


On June 6, 2018, the WINE RETAIL FORUM will be held, dedicated to the theme of the wine market, as part of the initiative to develop modern wine trade and support the promotion of Russian wines in retail chains. The Wine Forum will bring together owners and top management of regional retail chains, category managers of federal retail, heads of wine producers and suppliers. Representatives of relevant ministries and departments are invited to participate in the Forum. Delegates will be able to get acquainted with the mini-exposition of wine producers and take part in sessions on state regulation and technologies of modern wine trade.


The Network Procurement Center at NRP-2018 will allow manufacturers of retail goods to conduct direct and individual negotiations with representatives of procurement services of federal and regional retail chains.


First organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia The All-Russian competition "Trade of Russia 2018" will present new ideas and the best experience of Russian trade to the court of an authoritative jury.


The traditional Mini-football Cup with the participation of Russian retail employees and their family members will end the Week of Russian Retail, which is taking on a new meaning and scale on the eve of the World Cup.


Many leading Russian and international companies, such as Coca-Cola, X5 Retail Group, Leader Team, Checkpoint, Interactive Group, Deloitte and others became participants of the Russian Retail Week in 2018.
