Applications are open for the competition of short films about fashion production and visual aesthetics of modern Russia BIOF 2018, which will be held as part of the Festival of Films about fashion BE IN OPEN FILMS. The best films will be included in the festival schedule and shown in participating cinemas in ten major cities of Russia.

The festival of films about fashion BIOF will be held in June 2018 on the eve of the Forum BE IN OPEN.The festival program includes works that have received recognition from the international professional community.

The purpose of the contest is to explore the aesthetics of local projects and introduce viewers to the Russian specifics of working in fashion.

Preference is given to documentaries and feature films about working in the domestic fashion industry, as well as videos dedicated to the study of modern visual language. Films of any type can take part in the competition, from video art and animation to campaign and documentary films.

Directors, photographers, bloggers, designers, stylists and anyone who has something to tell about the stated topic in a video format are invited to participate. The works will be evaluated by the jury – experts of the fashion and film industry of the country.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until February 28, 2018. The winner will be announced at the opening of the festival on June 1, 2018 in Moscow.
