Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo and Italian fashion photographer Paolo Roversi have teamed up to create a unique exhibition project dedicated to long-term cooperation.

According to the idea, the exhibition space will be divided into three parts. The first and so far the only available exhibition is located on the facade of the CDG boutique in Paris and represents five works by Roversi, which Rey chose. In the near future, fashion lovers will also be able to contemplate the second part of the exhibition — an installation created by Kawakubo specifically for Paolo. Her presentation will take place in the courtyard of Dover Street Market in Paris. The latest exhibition will include 37 Comme Des Garçons photographs selected by Paolo and will be held in the basement of Dover Street Market.

Paolo Roversi first met designer Rei Kawakubo in Paris in the 80s and has continued to photograph her artful collections over the years. "I'm completely free to do what I want," he says. "Rey's work is so groundbreaking; there's something new and different every time. I always try my best because I can't do anything normal or ordinary for Rey." As a result, he creates unforgettable images that perfectly convey the mood of Kawakubo's darkly romantic works. His style of photography often uses blurred focus or obscure lighting to match the abstract spirit.
