BUYBRAND Franchise Market 2018

From March 28 to March 30, the spring franchise exhibition BUYBRAND Franchise Market and a business forum dedicated to franchising took place on the territory of VDNH in Moscow.

At BUYBRAND Franchise Market this time 103 brands from Spain, Great Britain, Japan, Korea, France, Italy, USA, Poland, Belarus and other countries were represented. Russian brands were represented by a large number of cities whose geography stretched from St. Petersburg to Khabarovsk, including the cities of the Urals, Siberia, Udmurtia, the Volga region and other regions. More than 30 companies participated for the first time.

54% of the exhibition participants were franchises with investments from 1.5 to 10 million rubles, 26% - franchises with investments up to 1.5 million and 20% - franchises worth more than 10 million rubles. Brands were divided by industry in approximately equal proportions: 32% represented the HoReCa sector, 26% represented the service sector, 29% retail and 13% represented B2B services.

Entrepreneurs from 14 countries and 8 Federal Districts of the Russian Federation gathered to choose a franchise and communicate with existing partners. 78% of visitors to the exhibition are potential and existing franchisees, master franchisees, investors. 34% of visitors came from the regions of Russia. Compared to 2017, the number of visitors from the Southern, Siberian, Ural and Central Federal Districts increased by 5%. For three days, according to preliminary estimates, more than 4,500 visits were recorded. The total investment potential of visitors amounted to more than 50 billion rubles.

An important point of attraction at the exhibition is the business forum, where experts in the field of franchising shared their experience and discussed current industry trends. The experts gave an overview of the franchise market, told how to choose a franchise, avoid gross mistakes when concluding a contract, highlighted the issues of successful business locations and franchise promotion channels. Even without a battle, there was a legal one, in which they clearly showed how to terminate contracts correctly without negative consequences. About 30 speakers spoke at the event.

In addition, 50 aspiring entrepreneurs completed a 3-day training at the Franchisor School , where they got acquainted with the basics of running a franchise business.

Visitors of the exhibition were invited to take part in a new TV show, which starts on September 10 at the BUYBRAND Expo. As part of the project, franchisees with the help of experts will choose a franchise and launch a business, and the whole process - from the entrance to the exhibition to the opening of the point - will be captured on camera and shown in the format of a reality show.
