AFK Sistema withdraws from the shareholders of Detsky Mir

The information about the possible sale of the AFK "System" of a controlling stake in the chain of stores "Detsky Mir" has been confirmed. This was announced by the main shareholder of the "System" Vladimir Yevtushenkov. In the event of a transaction "The system" will completely withdraw from the shareholders and will not retain a minority stake in the largest retailer of children's goods.

 

According to V. Yevtushenkova, seven investors, whom he did not name, are applying for the purchase of control in "Children's World".

 

 

AFK «System» currently owns 52.1% of «Children's world». At the end of July AFK "Sistema" released a controlling stake from Gazprombank's collateral "Detsky Mir", refinancing the loan at the expense of 5 billion rubles of its own funds and another 15 billion rubles raised from the bank «Opening».

 

In 2017, «System» remained the controlling shareholder, reducing the stake from 72.6% to 52.1% after the IPO. The Russian-Chinese Investment Fundd (RCIF) is the second largest shareholder, owning 14.03% of the shares of "Children's World", the remaining 33.87% belong to minority shareholders.
