Admiralty Needle Design Competition
St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design held the 23rd International Competition of young designers "Admiralty Needle" in St. Petersburg.
The international jury included representatives of the fashion world from Russia, Japan, China, Germany, Denmark, Hungary, Italy and France. The jury included, among others, the director of the CPM exhibition Christian Kash, who noted two young and talented participants of the competition. As a result, designers Ekaterina Okhotnikova with a collection of women's outerwear Displacement and Elena Zemtsova with a collection of men's and children's outerwear Independent will have the opportunity to present their work at the next exhibition Collection Première Moscow in the Premium section. Elena Zemtsova with a collection of men's and children's clothing Pret-A-Porter Diffusion will also take part in the opening ceremony of the next CPM exhibition on August 30.

More than 300 applicants from Russia, Japan, China, Hungary and Poland submitted applications for participation in the young designers competition. Liang Yo, a designer from Japan, won the Grand Prix of the competition by presenting the Open the Heart collection. The certificate in the amount of 500,000 rubles was presented to him by Alexey Demidov, president of the competition and rector of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design. In addition to the award ceremony, it was possible to track all current fashion trends at the competition site, as well as get acquainted with various cultural features that inspire designers to create unique fashion collections.
