The Buybrand Expo has completed its work

On September 29, the 15th International Franchise Exhibition Buybrand Expo ended in Moscow. More than 218 small and medium-sized businesses from 24 countries of the world took part in the exhibition.According to the organizers, the companies EMTG, 14% of the participants of the exhibition are world giants (Carls Jn., Best Western, Papa Johns) and the largest Russian companies with a network of 300 establishments («Chocolate Maker», «Invitro», «Hemotest», «Coffee House», «1C», «RosInter»). More than 30% of the exhibitors are young regional companies.More than 25% of the exhibitors are foreign brands, collectively having more than 1,000 outlets in different countries of the world.

For the first time in Russia, large chains of household goods from Turkey presented their franchising models. Madame Coco and Biev-Bernardo. The participation for Babor Beauty Spa was the debut – a unique franchise of a beauty salon from Germany, Gipfel International – the largest manufacturer and retail operator in the market of tableware and kitchen accessories, Rosso Arancio – concepts of the Italian author's ice cream cafe, franchises of the brokerage company Larson&Holz and other companies.

"Domestic entrepreneurs, including those from the regions, bring to the market unique concepts focused on the Russian consumer and adapted to our realities. These projects are quite in demand now, including in the metropolitan region,"notes Ekaterina Soyak, CEO of EMTG. According to her, Russian gastro-concepts are in particular demand, in which entrepreneurs are ready to invest from 5 to 20 million rubles.

Unexpected concepts also attract increased attention, for example, franchises of diamond products, sales of moonshine machines, production of knitted sweaters with deer and similar projects. This year, a real stir among investors was caused by the franchise of mining equipment stores needed for cryptocurrency mining farms,"comments Soyak.

During the 3 days of the exhibition at the Expocenter, more than 8,000 visits were recorded. This figure indicates the growing interest in frachising on the part of Russian entrepreneurs.

"In times of crisis, entrepreneurs prefer to invest in franchises rather than in their own business. Every year, on the part of Russian businessmen, the request for the purchase of ready-made and run-in concepts increases by 15%, 20%, notes Ekaterina Soyak.
