Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Georgy Kalamanov took part in the opening ceremony of the International Industrial Exhibition "Kubaindustria-2018" as part of a working trip to Cuba and discussed the prospects for the development of the light industry with the participation of Russian companies.

At the eighth meeting of the Working Group on Industrial Cooperation of the Intergovernmental Russian-Cuban Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, progress was noted in the implementation of joint projects, including in the field of light industry.

An important outcome of the meeting was the signing of a contract for the reconstruction and modernization of textile factories , «Hilatex», «Billatex» and «Alkitex», the implementation of which will provide the plants with modern high-tech Russian equipment.
