The scarf is a dream
Amsterdam-based brand BYBORRE presented a photo report on its series of scarves created in collaboration with Parisian artist and director Yue Wu. The puzzle is assembled into a huge stole and, according to the tradition of designer Borre Akorshdek (Borre Akkersdijk), the fabric is knitted using a 3D printer. The huge stole features all seven scarves, which can form a huge blanket or stole.
Borre has been for the eighth year how he plays with knitwear and textiles familiar to everyone. He started with the fact that to give lightness and volume to his fabrics, he used textiles for mattresses. The developments of his textile laboratory have long been the subject of admiration and dreams not only of bloggers or travelers, but even send them into space in such clothes.
Fabrics Borre change the hue and color palette, can play music like a real MP3 player. Thanks to cooperation with the Dutch University of Technology Eindhoven (University of Technology Eindhoven) the designer has learned to embed into his fabric systems GPS, MP3, charging for smartphones and much more. In this small creative experimental laboratory, they are trying to create fabrics and models of the future. The designer even sells the presented works through his website and always participates in the Scandinavian Fashion Weeks. Borre has been friends with the artist Yue Wu for a long time.
Whether the scarf plays music is not reported. But the designer proudly stated about the play of yarn shades and that in a laborious process, his own knitting machines are used, which require more than 2,000 needles to create such a complex image. The cost of one scarf will be only 189 euros.
