The Gallery: a new format of elegant fashion
This year it starts working according to a new calendar and time schedule, which will be more convenient for retail representatives.
In the new season, Igedo decided to reduce the work of the exhibition to three days. The exhibition will start on Saturday, January 28, and end on Monday, January 30. Every day The Gallery will open at 10 am. But it will close at different times: on Saturday at 20:00, on Sunday at 19:00, and on Monday at 18:00.
Project Director Ulrike Koehler is full of optimism: "I'm looking forward to the opening of the new season. Thanks to the new schedule compared to all other exhibitions, the segment of evening and festive fashion presented by The Gallery will be able to see more visitors. This means that brands can win more new customers. The change in the daily schedule of the exhibition occurred as a result of the analysis of the number of visitors at different times of the events of previous seasons. The exact calculation confirmed our assumption that three days is quite enough for a full collection of orders. Such a schedule will not disrupt the usual schedule of the showrooms of well-known agencies and premium brands that are located outside The Gallery, but will only help them get new customers. In addition, working meetings and negotiations are possible not only at the exhibition, but also directly in companies and showrooms. We are ready for the new season and are looking forward to the audience's reaction to our changes. Our focus is on achieving the best results for our clients."
The organizers of the exhibition have tried this season to structure the presented brands in the spirit of the umbrella brand concept (umbrella brand is a type of brand expansion strategy consisting in the release of several product groups or product categories under one brand at once). This will clarify the structure of the event for both participants and visitors and will allow individual brands represented in the exhibition segments Agencies, Contemporary, Design & Avantgarde, Green@Gallery, Accessoires, Streetstyle and Evening & Occasion to reveal their profile more fully.
Igedo is confident that these three January days will bring together the entire European fashion business at the Areal Böhler exhibition center in Dusseldorf, where more than 800 brands will be presented. The luxury collections segment, named Gallery Evening & Occasion since this year, shows steady annual growth at the exhibition, which has become the only platform in Europe where you can order collections from manufacturers from Germany, Austria, the USA, Spain, England, France and the Netherlands in a semi-annual cycle. In addition to presenting collections at brand stands, permanent displays will be held on the podium of the event. The brands of the new Fast Fashion segment will be presented at Altes Kesselhaus.
Renamed and Organic Fair Trade Fashion. In the new season, it becomes Green@GALLERY, thereby emphasizing the connection with the exhibition, which from the very beginning focused on the theme of street style, but from an environmental point of view. As a result, the segment of "green" collections and safe production that appeared in 2016 shows stable growth. This season, many new brands have expressed their interest in the upcoming event. In addition, international agencies, previous participants and new companies have already announced their participation in The Gallery in January 2017. "When our customers come back to us again and again, we take it as a sign that they are satisfied. And it inspires confidence and lifts the mood! I know that The Gallery is on the right track," says Ulrike Koehler.
Traditionally, exhibitors, bloggers, journalists and visitors are offered an exciting tour called Gallery Tour when placing orders. As an informational program, a breakfast with the most famous bloggers will be held.
And thanks to the PLATFORM FASHION partner project, organized by The Fable agency, shows of famous designers will be broadcast on the site.
