A Texan in Paris
Schiaparelli House announced the appointment of a new creative director, who became Daniel Roseberry, Texan, who was previously associated for many years with the famous American brand Thom Browne. The press service of Schiaparelli announced that now Roseberry becomes the artistic director of all collections, projects and the overall image of the House, foundedby Elsa Schiaparelli in 1927.
33-year-old native of Texas Daniel Roseberry, has worked together with House Thom Browne for more than 10 years as the chief designer of both men's and women's collections. According to experts, Daniel will be able to revive the bold and avant-garde creative style of the famous French House on Vendome Square, in accordance with the style and ideas of its founder Elsa Schiaparelli, whose unique creative heritage is recorded on the tablets of fashion history.
"It is a great honor and joy for me to be invited to the place where Madame Schiaparelli founded her House about 85 years ago. Schiaparelli was a true artist, reflecting the era, both the chaos and the hopes of the turbulent time in which she lived. Today, forming our identity in the modern world, we ask the same important questions. What should art look like? What is personality? How do we dress during the period that many call the end of the world? Schiaparelli answered these questions frankly and with humor. One of the aspects of her greatest legacy is her commitment to fantasy, understanding that in difficult times we need creative ideas. I want to offer my answers to these questions and implement my ideas and fantasies, a dream that is in demand and relevant today. It is a great honor for me to work with an amazing and talented team Schiaparelli Houses, and work in the traditions of High Fashion to preserve the myth of this legendary house and move it into the future," Daniel Roseberry commented on his appointment.
Diego Della Valle, owner At home Schiaparelli, said: "I am pleased to welcome Daniel Roseberry to Schiaparelli House. His innovative and creative vision, his many talents will allow the legendary House to develop in accordance with the requirements of current standards in fashion, not forgetting the unique heritage that once made Schiaparelli a revolutionary brand.
Note that Roseberry is incredibly talented in many directions, his drawings and photo collages have always been highly appreciated by experts, and the collections of the Thom Browne he left were so intellectual and highly artistic that we should expect a real breakthrough in art and on the podium, now on Place Vendome in Paris.
