St. Petersburg Fashion Mission to Antwerp
On September 4, 2018, a visit of the delegation will take placeSt. Petersburg to Antwerp (Belgium). One of the topics of the trip is fashion and creative industries.
The mission aims to intensify cooperation between government representatives and the business community of St. Petersburg and Antwerp, strengthen existing business ties, and create a platform for business communication between representatives of St. Petersburg and Belgian businesses.
In the field of fashion Belgium not only has a rich heritage, but is currently a vibrant fashion center. In terms of fashion, Antwerp has an exceptional history. It began in 1663, when was founded in AntwerpRoyal Academy of Fine Arts. In 1963, the prestigious The Faculty of Fashion opened its doors and already in the early 80s became a world leader, and "Antwerp Six" ("The Antwerp Six") it has become the subject of frequent discussions in the media. And now, in the XXI century, a unique fashion story continues to unfold in Antwerp. The city is proud of its fashion workshops and shops, as well as talented people.
Designers and manufacturers of clothing and accessories, representatives of educational institutions, employees of the infrastructure for the support and development of creative industries and SMEs, representatives of government authorities, the leadership of industry associations, etc. should take part in the track "Fashion & Craft".

Fashion Walk. Learn more about Antwerp as a vibrant city of life in this cultural exploration of the city, which focuses on modern design, architecture and history. The emphasis is on the recent past, when the city turned into a leading fashion center. During this walk you will stop at shops, buildings and other places that have played an important role in the development of Antwerp as an international fashion city.
