A special project of the Radical Chic brand for the Faberge Museum

The Russian brand of accessoriesRadical Chichas created an exclusive scarf dedicated to the painting by Amedeo Modigliani, presented at the exhibition Modigliani, Soutine and other legends of Montparnasse" in Faberge Museum.

The designers were inspired to create this accessory by female images in the work of the artist Amedeo Modigliani.

The pearls of the exhibition in The Faberge Museum in St. Petersburg became refined female portraits created by Amedeo Modigliani in the last years of his life. Among them are two portraits of his muse Jeanne Ebutern, a young art school student whose life turned upside down after meeting Modi. Their fast-paced romance ended tragically  they passed away almost simultaneously.

These and other poignant female portraits are found on the headscarf Radical Chic. Here you can see five works Modigliani: «Sitting girl in a blue blouse» (1919), «Girl in blue» (1918), «Jeanne Ebutern» (1918), «Red-haired girl (Jeanne Ebutern)» (1918), «Elvira with a white collar» (1917–1918).

Turning a painting into a textile pattern is a process similar to restoration. It requires searching for techniques that preserve the author's style, processing each fragment manually and at the same time correlating details with the requirements of modern fashion. As a result of the work of Radical Chic designers and the help of employeesThe portraits of the Faberge Museum were transferred to the fabric and took the form of a stylish accessory.

"In our work, we wanted to emphasize how much women meant in the artist's life, and in general, using these subtle images, to tell about women, that they can influence not only the artistic world, but also rebuild the real world."
