Grow like Wildberries

The company Wildberries summed up the results of the first quarter of this year, recording an overall sales growth of 47%. For the same period last year, this figure was 27%, the company said in a release. The firm 's specialists explain such a solid growth for several reasons:firstly, it is an increase in the assortment, secondly, work with customer service, and thirdly, the opening of new pick-up points. In the first quarter, the company opened an additional 350 export points. 

 



According to statistics, the company processes from160 to 180 thousands of orders per day. The average attendance of the online store in the first quarter was 2.9million visits per day, which was higher than last year's for the same period by 17%. The bounce rate decreased by30%. Experts ofWildberries justify such results by qualitative study of traffic attraction channels.

Of the categories that enjoyed the largest growth in the first quarter, we can single out the six leaders:

  • sportswear – 105%;
  • household goods – 80%;
  • electronics – 76%;
  • beauty – 64%;
  • clothing – 49%;
  • shoes – 38%.

In accordance with the forecasts of specialists in the development of e-commerce, the company notes a significant increase in sales through the mobile application. In the first quarter of 2018, the online retailer records the website/app + mobile website ratio as45/55,in the last similar period it was 54/46.
