The production of clothing in Moscow has increased by more than 60 times
After the withdrawal of Western brands from the Russian market, domestic manufacturers became more active, starting a gradual seizure of vacant niches. According to Sergei Sobyanin's message on his personal Telegram channel, the production of clothing in Moscow has increased 62.4 times over the past five years. The mayor of the capital called the fashion industry the fastest growing industry in Moscow.

"In 2023, the capital's clothing manufacturers shipped goods worth more than 70 billion rubles. Also, over 2.8 million pairs of shoes were produced in the city," Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the capital's department of Investment and Industrial Policy, previously reported. According to him, as of March 2024, 135 industrial enterprises operated in the capital, where 4,000 people daily produced suits, jackets, jackets, raincoats, shorts, overalls, dresses, T-shirts and other wardrobe items.

According to the director of CORE.XP Marina Malakhatko, such an increase in the capital's production volumes is mainly due to the introduction of active support measures from the regional authorities, which have created comfortable conditions in the capital for the placement and development of workshops and factories.
