On September 18, 2018, on the first day of the 51st Federal Fair «Tekstillegprom» in Moscow, at VDNH, the jubilee 40th International Competition of Young Fashion Designers «Exercises » was held and the solemn announcement and awarding of the winners.

At the briefing and in interviews, the experts who were part of the jury of the competition shared their impressions and agreed that this year «Exercise» presented the leaders of a new generation, designers with a deep philosophical view, capable of developing the Russian fashion industry. Their works are distinguished by the aestheticization of images, the fusion of the history of culture and art, their own trends, creativity of ideas and, of course, high craftsmanship. Young designers promote their collections using the most modern professional methods and original author's visual images, select tracks for the fashion show with a special meaning, or even write their own music for live performance, use video clips and photo shoots during the show and for printed advertising materials, etc.

The first Grand Prix of the competition and a cash prize from PJSC "Roslegprom", LLC "RLP-Fair" and the Scientific and Production Association "Grace" were awarded Lesya Zavyalova from Irkutsk, who presented the youth clothing collection Hunter for creative girls, eager for discoveries and adventures, observant and brave, lonely and sociable, serious and smiling.

The second Grand Prix of the competition and a cash prize from the companies "YUNSEN", StenCom, the Scientific Center "Assol" and the Project "Exercise" were awarded Askarali uulu Zalkarbek from Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) for the collection "Tree of Life", made by hand from felted felt. The concept of the collection presents the history of ancestral life, culture and traditions in interaction and through the connection of all origins with a real modern costume.

The winners in the nominations were: Anna Mkryan from Moscow with a conceptual collection of «boots »; Yana and Tim Kovalev from Murmansk with a collection of small romantic dresses made of natural fabrics "I wasn't there" Vadim Tishin from Ryazan with a collection of "Sirin", each image of which was complemented by a porcelain mask in the author's execution; Elena Nagornaya from Moscow with a youth collection "Geometry of style" made of organza, chiffon, velvet and eco-leather as well as new original textures of fabrics.

All those awarded the Grand Prix and diplomas of the first degree received the main prize of the competition from the Project "Exercise" - a statuette "Golden Model".

The exhibition company «RLP-Fair» and the project «Exercise» thanked the staff of the multi-channel fashion platform «Fashion magazin» (ID «Arguments and facts ») and personally Vera Ivanov, the editor-in-chief of the fashion direction, for a fruitful partnership in the promotion of young designers of the International Competition «Exercise».

The 41st International Competition of Young Fashion Designers «Exercise» will be held on September 17, 2019 as part of the 53rd Federal Wholesale Fair of Goods and Equipment of Textile and Light Industry «Tekstillegprom» in Moscow, at VDNH.
