The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation will start implementing industrial policy in the field of development and production of perfumery and cosmetic products. The corresponding draft Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation was published by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation on the official website of posting information on the preparation by federal executive authorities of draft regulatory legal acts and the results of their public discussion.

According to the draft Resolution, the responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia will include both strategic planning and financial support, as well as information and consulting services and the development of scientific, technical and innovative activities at the federal and regional levels.

According to experts, the Russian perfumery and cosmetic products, which have proven themselves to be one of the most environmentally friendly, have a rich potential not only for entering the first positions on the Russian market, but also for export. In recent years, there has been an increase in the supply of Russian cosmetics abroad:In 2017, the physical volume of exports of perfumes and cosmetics increased by 51.3%. In the segment of natural cosmetics, one of the most popular in the world, Russian products have every chance to take a leading position:due to the unique climate of many regions of Russia, domestic producers use original recipes based on natural ingredients.

Earlier, a working group was created under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia , which included more than 20 organizations and industry associations. The agency is also developing a project Strategies for the development of the perfumery and cosmetics industry. In terms of export support The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia together with The Russian Export Center organized Russian collective expositions at two large-scale exhibitions InterCHARM Beauty Expo in Seoul (Republic of Korea) and BeautyWorld Middle East in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
