Tomorrow, April 27, 2017 at Vyacheslav Zaitsev's Moscow Fashion House with the support of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia and HYouth Academy of Fashion Industry will host the XXIV Contest of Professional Fashion Designers named after Nadezhda Lamanova. The theme of this year's contest isRevolution. 

100 years ago, the Great October Revolution took place in Russia, the most significant in the world history of Modern times. This whirlwind twisted and mixed everything: destinies, families, foundations, concepts, values. And the theme of the contest, as always, is multilevel and multifaceted, because revolutions are not only bloody political meat grinders. They can be quite peaceful, and even for the benefit of humanity. For example, in science, art, including fashion. The revolution is not only a scrapping and a change of formats, but also a new look at the familiar, it is the displacement of stereotypes, the struggle for leadership, new technologies, materials, color combinations, concepts of the space of self-expression and an attempt to talk to both contemporaries and descendants.

Nadezhda Lamanova, whose name the contest bears, reflects all aspects of the revolutionary era. Her fate reflected all the Artist's experiences in a turbulent era of change, when a real talent finds its place in its Homeland, not always simply, but necessarily professionally and with dignity.

And if we consider fashion as art, as sincere creativity, then it will be a permanent revolution of design thinking.
