HSE will train buyers
Moda HSE (HSE) with the support of Fashion Consulting Group opens a recruitment course for professional training of buyers in the fashion industry "Buying and assortment policy in the fashion industry", which it starts on February 18, 2019. The unique program involves a fundamental immersion in all aspects of the profession, taking into account modern requirements and expectations of the fashion market.
Today, the fashion industry is in dire need of qualified buyers who are able to ensure effective sales and competitive business in the modern market. In addition to the love of fashion and aesthetic taste, this profession requires knowledge of macro trends, an accurate understanding of demand, the ability to calculate budgets, analyze sales and choose the most "correct" fashion trends for your company.
The annual course was developed by the Center for Management and Communication in the Fashion Industry of the Higher School of Economics (ModaHSE) with the support of leading business consultants in the field of fashion. Within 3 months, students will study modern buying methods, master calculation formulas for effective procurement and develop the creative vision necessary to work with fashion trends. The training is based on the analysis and implementation of practical tasks for brands and stores.
The program was curated by Mikhail Kolovangin – chief is a bayer at Mercury. Among the teachers are leading practitioners from Fashion Consulting Group, Mercury, Bosco, Lamoda, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Laack, etc.
Course program:
- analysis and forecasting of fashion trends and sales;
- effective methods of assortment management and procurement planning;
- practical exercises based on real cases;
- computer simulations, work with buying reports;
- field workshops in showrooms and shops.
The program takes place at the Higher School of Economics. Upon graduation, a diploma of advanced training of the Higher School of Economics is issued. The best students are assisted in finding internships and subsequent employment. The number of seats is limited.
