According to Rosstat, almost 33% of finished linen fabrics are produced in the Vladimir region. To date, there are six main enterprises operating in the region: the holding company "Vladimir Textile", the Vyaznikovskoye Nonwovens Enterprise, the company "Promcenter", the society "Tamial", the Yartsevskaya factory and the Paustovskaya Weaving Factory. The indisputable advantages of modern flax-based materials are the availability and low cost of raw materials, high physico-chemical and technical qualities, minimal environmental loads, independence from foreign technology suppliers.
"Modern technologies make it possible to reduce the complexity of flax processing technology. Appropriate support from the state will make it profitable to grow high-quality, competitively priced flax, which can be used for textile production.

In order to start growing this crop in large volumes again, it is necessary to allocate acreage, form the material and technical base of agricultural enterprises, find sales markets, and train qualified specialists. To solve these problems, the region needs financial support from the state.
In more detail, the topic of flax cultivation will be raised at the 6th Vladimir Economic Forum, within the framework of which a round table on this topic will be held. In the meantime, the White House decided to create a working group to study the problems in the organization of the regional flax complex, as well as to consider the possibility of restoring full-cycle production from the "field to deep processing" on the basis of the former Vyaznik flax mill.
