FILA is looking for ideas in the North

Young Danish woman Astrid Andersen has been appointed creative director of the new line of the famous brand Fila. Astrid's collections have become favorites at Scandinavian Fashion Weeks several times.

Seven years ago Astrid founded a label of her own name and became one of the most interesting young artists working at the junction of urban de luxe and streetwear. The company Fila explained that Astrid will create a new premium segment of the brand Fila Fjord.

The main distinguishing feature of the new line of this sports brand will be a focus on northern architecture, a harmonious combination of modernity and nature, as well as the use of the latest developments of high-quality materials to create collections that will be published under the slogan The Measure of Perfection.

Astrid announced that she would be glad to work for the sports brand, which has long become a style icon and today is trying both to preserve historical successes in fashion, and to bring a completely new look to sports fashion.

Fans of the Danish woman are already predicting serious competition of the Fila brand with adidas and Nike, which have been trying to gain a foothold in the premium streetwear segment for a long time.

As reported in Fila, Astrid will show the first collection of the new premium segment already in January 2019 at the Italian Pitti Uomo Week.

The style of Astrid is recognizable in many countries Northern Europe. Fashionistas are captivated by her desire to produce comfortable semi-sports clothes for the whole family, which are worn on the street and at home by everyone from babies to old ladies, as well as bright clean colors and very interesting design features. So, her hats are very popular, looking like either a tourist's headdress in the tropics, or a beekeeper's hat. In a new capacity, the Dane will develop accessories, shoes, bags, outerwear and a line of ready to wear.
