Air traps
At the exhibition "Intertkan-2017", insulation materials for outdoor (equipment, tourism, outdoor activities) and the Arctic with three-dimensional fibrous labyrinths - "air traps" were demonstrated for the first time to the industry community, as well as personally to the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Yevtukhov.
The maximum use of the heat-insulating properties of the air, which has the highest thermal resistance, was achieved when creating a new insulation made of ultrathin fibers.
Holofiber ULTRA consists of a high-tech mixture of chemical fibers of the latest generation, forming three-dimensional fibrous labyrinths - "air traps".
"The diameter of ultrathin fibers is 10 times thinner than microfibres," comments Elena Mezentseva, chief technologist of the Nonwoven Fabric Plants project, on the novelty. They are formed from a mixture of chemical components, the composition and feature of which is know-how.
The innovative composition of non-woven canvas and the fibrous composition of Holofiber® ULTRA predetermine the unique properties of the new material. The manufacturer recommends using it in insulated clothing of all types for sub-zero temperatures, outdoor textiles (equipment, tourism, outdoor activities), as well as Arctic collections for extremely low temperatures (below 60 C). «Air traps» in Holofiber® ULTRA even with small linear densities of the material allow you to achieve increased thermal resistance.
Holofiber® ULTRA is available in the density range from 60 to 700 g/sq.m. Similar and well-proven in the conditions of the Russian winter imported material can be considered asthinsulate, and acceptable analogues: Holofiber® SOFT, Holofiber® FUEL and energy complex, Holofiber® NOTE Z.
The series of nonwoven materials Holofiber® ULTRA is produced in a line that has become a continuation of the innovative implementations presented by the company "Thermopol" in 2016.
